“My approach to psychotherapy is integrative. Everyone is different and has individualized ways of creating change for oneself; thus requiring a unique approach to psychotherapy that is tailored to each person. I believe at sometime in our life we all suffer - this comes with being a human being. Because of this reality we all have to develop ways to cope with and heal that suffering, and we often cannot do this in isolation. Psychotherapy can be understood as a healing ritual, in which we create a space that allows for new perception and change to occur. By identifying patterns that are not helpful or working in a person’s life, we can better understand where changes need to made. A mindfulness approach is often useful to allow this process to unfold and to ultimately make the changes needed for a more fulfilling life.”
